Long lengths, wide boards
Douglas Fir trees grow to impressive heights and diameters, making it possible to produce boards up to 350mm wide and five metres long. The result is a floor that flows with minimal joins, helping to create a seamless, high-end finish. Thanks to the impressive scale of the trees, we can also supply custom lengths for specific projects. These long, wide planks can even be extended onto walls for a striking design detail.
Prime, Prime Plus Grade
Supplied in a mix of Prime and Prime Plus, our Douglas Fir flooring is carefully graded to retain its natural elegance while making full use of the raw material. The boards are clear with attractive flame figuring and very occasional pinhole knots. In longer boards, deep knots may be replaced with timber dowel inserts to maintain clarity and minimise waste. These inserts (typically 5–6 per m²) ensure sustainable use of the whole tree and preserve valuable long lengths.
Stable, durable and underfloor heating compatible
Made with a three-layer engineered construction, Douglas Fir Flooring is built for stability. The boards are compatible with underfloor heating and finished with a hardwax oil that enhances the grain and protects the surface. Together, these features make Douglas Fir a practical and long-lasting choice for a range of interior spaces.
